It’s difficult wearing a state that has disappointed and hurt you too many times. This awkward ring was a way to process and grieve the loss of hope of the 2024 election. “Despair” has bursted holes in the ring creating texture from the tearing and shriveling. The use of hido patina creates a red finish on the piece to ultimately show, I am burnt out.
